Trix in Vietnam

Trix’ Travels was created with full cooperation of Trix the cat. She has been perfectly safe and lazy during the entire process that will now be posted every other Saturday. This weeks stop: Vietnam.

My owner went on holiday here. I remember because I had the house all to myself, well me and the specks of dust. We had some really interesting conversations because my human did not come around with that awful vacuum cleaner to take them away from me.

I can understand why my human wanted to go here. Vietnam might nog be as nice and quiet as Japan, but it is also not as loud and crowded as China, and they have amazing food! Food and drinks in one bowl filled with lovely bits of meat or chicken, or these tasty snacks they call spring rolls. The blond human and I are practically rolling out of this country. I am glad she did not make me wear one of those strange hats again. When I saw people wearing those, and the crazy one looking at them, I complained loudly until she walked away. One hat-incident is more than enough for the rest of my nine lives. Although after this country I’m down one life: when we were traveling with a small boat, I saw a shark right beneath us. There are fish that you do not want to mess with, and sharks are some of those! This thing was at least ten times my size (I think… I really suck at math), and could probably eat me without even having to chew. I didn’t like that, not at all. So I complained loudly to the human again, trying to let her know that I wanted to return to the nice and dry land. But this time she didn’t listen at all and we spend more time on the water.
Only in the evening did she manage to make it up to me, with more spring rolls and a nice (but not so quiet) walk around the city and beaches. Vietnam is loud, but it is definitely alive.
