Trix in Portugal

Trix’ Travels was created with full cooperation of Trix the cat. She has been perfectly safe and lazy during the entire process that will now be posted every other Saturday. This weeks stop: Portugal.

I do like these so called Mediterranean countries. The weather is nice and sunny, there is lots of fresh air, and their kitchen is full of nice fish that the blond shares with me. I like it and I would like to stay here. But if I understood one thing by now, it is that we won’t stay here for long. We have been spending quite some time in the harbours, walking along the waterline and looking at the ships. I can’t read the names that are written on them, and I don’t understand all the things the humans says because I don’t speak most of the languages. But sometimes the crazy one stops and chats with people, they sometimes point at me and ask something but she always shakes her head and we walk along.

I love these walks. I’m a house cat, and I don’t really like exercise, but these walks I enjoy quite a bit. Nice wind in my fur, sun in my face, sometimes I take the time to chase a mouse but I always let them go. No need to hurt them, they have done me no wrong and I have plenty of fishies to eat. Oh, she’s talking to some people again. This time she seems to be very excited about something. Is there something funny to see?

Apparently, we shifted from the ‘ship of the desert’ to an actual ship. The blond-one has packed our backs again, we checked out of the hostel, said goodbye to the yummy meals and are now waiting until we and some other passengers are allowed to enter this huge piece of metal with more pieces of metal stacked on it. I know it’s a ship, I recognize it from documentaries I’ve watched with my own humans on the weird-plastic-and-glass-box that shows all these bright and magical pictures. But I have no clue where it will take us and the crazy blond still doesn’t understand me when I ask her. I just hope this one doesn’t rock as much as the camel….

A bit tired because of the early morning, but all packed to go!
