Trix in Cape Town

Trix’ Travels was created with full cooperation of Trix the cat. She has been perfectly safe and lazy during the entire process that will now be posted every other Saturday. This weeks stop: Cape Town.

naamloosSo the crazy blond (maybe I should start calling her by her name, she does not respond well to ‘crazy blond’. However, she does not respond to most of what I say, her cats is lousy) dragged me to this noisy city that she does not seem to get enough of. She keeps saying that it is so great to be back. What does she mean by that? I’ve never been here before, and I’m not really sure I like it here. It is crowded, and is windy. I keep getting knots in my fur.

So we are in this city that is called Cape Town now, supposedly somewhere in Africa, the home of my larger brethren the lions. But I’m not sure the blond one can read a map, as it does not seem very Africa-like here. There is no desert, or jungle, and there are definitely no lions around. Just this huge, table-like hill where these weird tiny creatures live. I don’t know what they are, they just seem like bite-sized snacks but the crazy blond told me to be careful around them. Why? If I sit on them, they’ll just squeak and that will be it. Although I don’t think I’ll ever like airplane food, I’m starting to get the hang of this traveling. I bet I’ve seen more of the world than the humans I live with, and that is quite fulfilling. And if the crazy blond  is correct and this is indeed Africa, I have entered this huge continent of which my ancestors might have come. It is pretty exciting, I’ve been working on what I’m going to say when I see a lion or maybe even a cheetah. Imagine running that fast, it’s exhausting just to think about it!

Ooh, the crazy one is yelling my name. She’s pointing somewhere. Wait… That is not the way to the cable car. Where is she going? Does she really think I’m going to climb down?!

Can I eat these? They look bit-sized.
